Tech Bytes: Holiday shopping scams

A warning about a shopping scam. Authorities say thieves are out to take advantage of last minute holiday buyers with bogus deals. Shoppers are being cautioned against e-mails with fake surveys and deals on designer products.

The FCC has proposed a $300 million fine against a robocall campaign that was pushing extended car warranties. It would be the agency’s largest fine ever. The FCC says the scheme is run by two California men who racked up five billion calls in just three months.

Finally, Netflix will start streaming “Nike Training Club” classes, just in time for New Years resolutions.
The streaming service is reasing 30 hours of exercise sessions, including strength training and yoga led by Nike trainers.
