Duluth Children’s Museum’s Noon Year’s Eve celebration

Earlier today the Duluth’s Children Museum had a special Noon Year’s Eve celebration with games for kids of all ages. Instead of waiting until midnight to celebrate the new year, children of all ages were able to have a big confetti explosion at noon. Then kids could have fun by playing with Legos, go on the playground and make some friends. Cameron Kruger, the president and CEO of Duluth Children’s Museum explained how New Year’s can be inclusive with kids.

“New Year’s Eve. You know, we don’t expect kiddos to stay up until midnight, so we do a Noon Year’s Eve celebration every year and we’re really excited to celebrate in our new space. We’ve been here for about a year as well.” Kruger said. The Duluth Children’s Museum is also a place of learning too. Besides games and the playground, arts and crafts are offered to children including different ways to improve STEM skills.

“We have kids doing crafts all day long. So noisemakers, crowns, masks, and then all the playful learning that we usually provide at the Duluth Children’s Museum.” Kruger said. The Duluth Children’s Museum is available for children of all ages. The building opened a little over a year ago, with their annual Noon Year’s Eve celebration. Also in January, there will be a meet a husky event, where children will be able to meet one of the sled dogs from the Beargrease marathon.
