The Rubber Chicken Theater team is still sporting Santa hats in January as they get ready for their next show: Christmas Aquarium in January, or Joking in a Fishy Wonderland. The find themselves in an unusual venue- The Great Lakes Aquarium among the company of the fish, ducks, and turtles. “So far they’re enjoying the show. So I think audiences will.”
Brian Matuszak tells us to expect the traditional sketch comedy show that the team always writes themselves: “It takes a look back at the previous year. So even though we’re into 2023 a little bit, a lot of the things that were in the news in 2022 were still memorable. We’re having some fun with it.”
The writers also had some fun with setting. “We have a couple of different sketches having fun with some sturgeon touch tanks. The otters, Agate and Ore, we depict them live on stage. Ore has decided to quiet quit. So he’s not jumping in as much as he should.”
Tickets are still available.
