Live from Beargrease Marathon finish line

The Lift was live from Grand Portage just over an hour after Keith Aili crossed the finish line of the John Beargrease Sled Dog Marathon. “It’s one of the earliest finishes that I’ve ever seen during the 8 years I’ve covered this race.” Baihly Warfield tells us.

Steven Standingcloud of the Grand Portage Lodge and Casino tell us they love the race because it honors John Beargrease, “We love having more people understand who we are and then our connection to the origin national of the sled dog race. We love having our connection to John Beargrease one of our Grand Portage enrollees and our ancestor.”
