UMD men’s & women’s basketball advance to NSIC championship games

Both the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) men’s and women’s basketball teams are bound for the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) championship games.
The No. 9 UMD women locked down their fifth straight NSIC title berth taking down Augustana 76-59 in the semifinals Monday at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Brooke Olson led the game with 25 points.
They’ll battle Minnesota State University-Mankato for the conference title Tuesday at 4 p.m.
After their victory the UMD men held off Northern State 75-69 in their semifinal match. Drew Blair led the team with 18 points.
They’ll battle Minnesota State University-Moorhead for the NSIC title Tuesday at 7 p.m.
