Fatal crash involving semi truck on Hwy. 63

A man from Cable was killed in an accident with a semi truck.
The Sawyer County Sheriff’s Office says 27-year-old Harley J. Karow was driving north on US Highway 63, near the intersection of Northern Lights Road in the Town of Lenroot.
Authorities say the vehicle crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a southbound semi truck. There was also a passenger in the vehicle, 31-year-old Andrew J. Ferguson of Hayward. Ferguson sustained life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to a local hospital. His injuries are unknown at this time. Karow’s injuries in the crash were fatal.
The 55-year-old driver of the semi truck was uninjured.
The crash remains under investigation by the Sawyer County Sheriff’s Office, Wisconsin State Patrol and the Sawyer County Coroner’s Office.
