Lake Superior Ice Festival returns this weekend

Located on Barker’s Island, the Lake Superior Ice Festival will begin Friday afternoon and continue through Saturday. Mask usage and social distancing will be strongly encouraged.
In addition to familiar activities including the City of Superior Snow Slide, Kids Zone, Learn to Play Kubb & Kubb Tournament, MIRA ice racing, ice sculptures, and photo opportunities, this year’s Ice Festival will have several new features.
New this year will be an ice carousel, ice mini-golf, adult snowshoe demos, and hot air balloon rides. Additionally, the Superior Fire Department will face the Superior Police Department for a “Guns & Hoses” Kubb tournament. Last but not least, the Lake Superior Ice Racing Association will host Nascar on Ice.
