UMD’s Cailee Peterson national runner-up in indoor mile

University of Minnesota Duluth senior Cailee Peterson finished second in the NCAA Division II track and field championship on Saturday in Virginia Beach.
Peterson, ran a 4:51.46 in the women’s indoor mile 1.6 Seconds behind champion Stephanie Cotter of Adams State.
Peterson becomes just the fourth UMD athlete to earn All-American status in the event.
