Open positions on SLC Historical Society Board of Governors

Looking to help preserve the history of St. Louis County? Applications are now open on the Historical Society’s Board of Governors.

The Historical Society is looking for applicants from across St. Louis County. An interest in history, familiarity with nonprofit governance, and fundraising experience are highly desirable. The Society says an ideal candidate would have time to prepare for and attend regular meetings, effectively and consistently participate in governing the organization, and generally enhance operations and promote its mission.

The mission statement of the Society is as follows: The general nature and purpose of the Society shall be the discovery, preservation, and dissemination of knowledge about the history and prehistory of St. Louis County and the State of Minnesota.

Applications must be submitted by March 31, 2023. Election by the Membership will occur at the April 25, 2023 Annual Meeting of the Membership.
