Detours off of I-35 ahead this weekend in Duluth so crews can do work over the roadways

There are two detours off of I-35 this weekend in Duluth, due to work on the Twin Ports Interchange.

Starting Friday evening at 7pm, both lanes of NB 35 will be closed at 40th Avenue West to Garfield. You’ll be detoured onto the Bong Bridge. From there, you head to Superior. At the roundabout, you head right. Then take a right on Susquehanna Avenue, and then to Winter Street. From there, take a left on Tower and then loop around to get onto the Blatnik Bridge.

WDIO drove the detour on Thursday, and it took about 10 minutes.

The detour for SB 35 on Friday evening will be on lower Michigan Street, and then back on the freeway at 27th Avenue West.

These should be over on Sunday morning, according to MnDOT.
