Overnight house fire in Virginia
A home in Virginia was engulfed in flames Friday night (Northland FireWire).
A two-story house was engulfed in flames late Friday night. The fire was reported at around 1:30 am in the 100 block of 7th Street South in Virginia.
Multiple Iron Range Fire Departments responded to the call, including Virginia, Mountain Iron, Eveleth, Hibbing, Gilbert, and Fayal. The Pike-Sandy-Britt Fire Department provided standby at the Virginia firehall, and the Eveleth and Biwabik ambulance services provided EMS standby.
The Virginia Fire Department confirmed that the home was vacant, and no injuries were reported.
The fire is under investigation by the Virginia Fire Marshal and the Minnesota State Fire Marshal’s Office.
