Last night’s scattered showers exit northwest Wisconsin to the southeast this morning, then we’ll remain mostly dry the rest of the day with a stray shower trying to redevelop in Wisconsin this afternoon. Skies will be partly cloudy with highs back in the 60s for inland communities. An east wind picks up strength near 15 mph this afternoon and keeps temps immediately by Lake Superior in the mid-40s. This cool lake wind will prove to be stubborn, keeping the need for a light jacket along the shorelines each day through the weekend and the start of next week.
Widespread rain chances will return from the south Friday night and Saturday with a wet Wisconsin Fishing Opener expected. An additional round of showers and possibly thunderstorms arrives Saturday night into Sunday. As of now, no storms are expected to be severe.
