Sheriff: Another staff member assaulted at MSOP
One week after an assault in the Minnesota Sex Offender Program (MSOP), another incident at the facility in Moose Lake.
Carlton County Sheriff Kelly Lake said Monday her office did receive a report from MSOP of a client assaulting a staff member. Sheriff Lake said that staff member did have minor injury, and the case will be referred to the Carlton County Attorney’s Office for charges.
On Monday, May 1, a 53-year-old staff member was assaulted by a 29-year-old client who faces pending charges for Second and Fourth Degree Assault.
The current incident remains under investigation.
