The Esko baseball team who has been lights out this regular season, posting a record of 16-0 as of Monday and outscoring opponents 193-27.
So what exactly has this success stemmed from and how can they keep this going?
“We are experienced, we’ve got a lot of seniors and juniors that have played and kids who’ve put a lot of time in the weight room. They all have put in time in playing baseball in the summer, lifting weights, working on their arm speed and everything’s kind of coming to fruition here,” claimed head coach Ben Haugen.
The Eskomos next taste action Tuesday when they hit the field at 4:30 p.m. at home against the Cloquet Lumberjacks.
“So just really proud of the guys and like I said, they’ve put in a lot of hard work and it’s just fun to see them having success,” concluded Haugen.
