Justin Liles: Widespread frost tonight

Gusty winds off Lake Superior have made our Wednesday much colder than the widespread 80s we had on Tuesday. At 3pm this afternoon Superior, WI is nearly 50° degrees cooler. Light rain showers are possible early this evening too. However, these are likely to be spread out and extremely sporadic.
The worry tonight will be the dropping temperatures as the National Weather Service has just issued a frost advisory for the counties through the Arrowhead and northern Wisconsin. If you have any flowers or plants that need protecting, you may want to cover them up or bring them indoors.
Winds will still be off the Lake Thursday, but we’ll likely see much more sun and the winds won’t be nearly as strong. Our weather all over the upper Midwest will likely improve over the holiday weekend. We may still have a little breeze with southerly winds 10-20 mph through the weekend. There is a chance of light rain later in the day on Memorial Day.
