Each year on Memorial Day, all around the country, we honor the lives of many men and women who lost their lives protecting this country are honored and celebrated. On Monday, the Duluth Women of Today held a Memorial Day parade in West Duluth for everyone to come together and celebrate.
This was their first time attending the parade for Carly Eastman as she shared how she felt about the celebration. “It’s really nice and it’s really unexpected. I didn’t expect it to be so big.”
Eastman bought her family out to watch the parade and the children looked to be really enjoying themselves. “She’s at the age where she thinks everything is so cool. The fire truckers and catching the candy. We love it!”
Audience members also got to see different car groups, a ghostbuster float, and a whole lot of smiles through the route in New Gary Duluth. The parade took place with the parade participants gathering at 10:30 and the parade got underway at 12:30 pm.
