Prep Baseball: Esko, Grand Rapids earn section tournament opening wins

In prep baseball on Tuesday Esko and Grand Rapids each earned home wins to open their Section tournaments.
In Section 7AA, top-seeded Esko downed No. 16 Two Harbors 12-1 then defeated No. 8 Mora 10-0. The Eskomos (21-1) advance to the winners bracket quarterfinals Thursday. They’re set to host No. 4 Pine City at 11 a.m. back at Esko School Fields. For the full bracket, Click Here.
In Section 7AAA, second seeded Grand Rapids held off seventh seeded Cloquet 8-7. The Thunderhawks advance to host North Branch Thursday at 4 p.m. in the winners bracket. For the full bracket, Click Here.
