Northlanders clinch State berths at Section 7A Track & Field meet

Spots at state were on the line Thursday at the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) as Malosky Stadium played host to the Section 7A track and field championships.

In the boys 200 meter Two Harbors’ Tate Nelson claimed the Section 7A crown finishing first with a time of 22.94 seconds. Mesabi East’s Evan James took second with a time of 23.52 to also advance to state.

The Esko boys won as a team with 90.5 points, while Two Harbors finished as the top girls team with 97.5 points.
