Esko’s Cale Haugen Named Gatorade MN Baseball Player of the Year

On Friday Esko High School senior Cale Haugen was named Gatorade’s Minnesota Baseball Player of the Year for 2022-2023.
The award recognizes outstanding athletic excellence, high standards of academic achievement, and exemplary character on and off the field.
Currently the 6-foot, 190-pound right handed pitcher and shortstop is posting a 0.22 ERA recording a total of 67 strikeouts in 32.1 innings pitched.

Next up for the 22-1 record holding Eskomos will be the Section 7AA semifinals against Rock Ridge on Tuesday. First pitch is set for 2 p.m. at Wade Stadium.
