Superior High School’s own Emma Raye is taking her dreams to the Division I diamond.
The Spartan junior has committed to play softball for the University of Wisconsin Badgers. It was among four DI offers for the catcher and utility player.
Last spring she led Superior to the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) Regional Finals and a 21-2 overall record. She finished the 2021 season ranked eighth in the state hitting, hitting .560 with seven home runs and 35 RBIs.
I’m going to be a badger! I’m so excited to announce that I will be continuing my softball and academic career at the University of Wisconsin. I’d like to thank all of my coaches as well as family members for getting me to this point! Go Badgers @YvetteHealy @dzym6 @Coach_Veee pic.twitter.com/DvlIOJGan5
