Esko throws state send-off party for baseball team

The Esko boy’s baseball team held a state send off party Monday, the first in 23 years.
The Eskomos enter the tournament with an overall record of 24-1, going undefeated through the Section 7AA tournament. Winning every game by no fewer than six total runs.
“It’s definitely starting to sink in. I think we’re all looking forward to getting on the bus and getting out of here and start focusing on the game. My message to the guys is to have fun and enjoy it. But I definitely feel like, especially after practice this morning, that there’s still I still feel like we’re on a mission,” said head coach Ben Haugen before stepping onto the bus.
“All the boys are super excited we finally broke the curse and got out of the section tournament. So it’s a big deal to finally get through,” added Owen Wilson.
In the Class AA state bracket the No.1 Spot belongs to Esko as they are set to vs St. Agnes in St. Cloud at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
