Kara Goucher, Grandma’s Marathon Analyst

Kara Goucher is joining the WDIO Grandma’s Marathon broadcast team, and will be at the WDIO desk at the finish line with Alicia Tipcke.
Goucher grew up in Duluth, running in high school for Duluth East.
She ran for the University of Colorado, becoming the NCAA Outdoor Champion in 3000 m and 5000 m, the NCAA Cross Country Champion, and also a 5000 m Olympic Trials Finalist.
In 2012, Kara returned to Duluth for the USA Half Marathon Championships, setting an event record for the Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon with a time of 1:09:46.
She is a two-time US Olympian, competing in both the 5,000 m and 10,000m at the 2008 Bejing Games and then the marathon at the 2012 London Games.
Goucher is a New York Times Best-Selling Author and NBC Sports analyst.
