Hackers are threatening to leak data stolen from Reddit. The group known as “the ransomware gang” is demanding $4.M, after allegedly hacking Reddit’s systems earlier this year. Reddit acknowledged a past breach, but insists no user data was accessed.
The FCC wants to investigate internet data caps, which are limits a service provider can impose on a customer. The agency is asking consumers to weigh in, about how those caps have affected them, through a consumer complaint form. The investigation comes after some lawmakers have proposed legislation to ban data caps.
And Apple, the tech giant, is trying to trademark images of apple, the fruit. The intellectual property fight pits the company against a union representing fruit growers in Switzerland.
