Now more than ever bikers have been hitting the trails for the summer, but the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is reminding people that 2023 state trail passes are available and may be required when exploring Wisconsin’s state trails.
It’s required for all people age 16 or older biking, in-line skating, horseback riding or off-highway motorcycling to have a pass. Whether it be in state parks, forests and recreation areas, signs are posted at trailheads but DNR wardens talked with 773 bikers on state trails and reminded more than 300 to purchase a pass this year alone.
Annual trail passes are $25 for residents and non-residents, for more information and to purchase a pass CLICK HERE.
