A major internet investment. President Biden has announced a $42B initiative to put high-speed internet in every US household by 2030. According to the White House, more than $8M households and businesses don’t have broadband.
Amazon is looking to partner with thousands of small businesses this year, to establish its “hub” delivery system. The program will pay those businesses to deliver an average of 30 packages per day to customers. Recruitment is underway in 23 states.
Finally, Meta has launched a new virtual reality game subscription service. Meta Quest Plus gives players access to the system’s top two titles every month. It’s about $8 per month, or about $60 for a year.
