Duluth Police arrest man arrested after two hour standoff

DPD responded to the 200 block of N 1^st Ave W for a man that threatened another individual with a knife before barricading himself in a unit.

The Duluth Police Department’s Crisis Negotiations Team, along with members of B shift, started negotiations with the individual. After two hours of negotiating with the subject, the male came out uncooperative. Less-lethal tactics were utilized to detain the subject.

The male was transported to a local hospital for an evaluation and he will be charged with pending threats of violence charges.
