Spooner Rodeo ready to wow you right after the 4th of July

The fun after the 4th of July includes the Heart of the North Spooner Rodeo, which is in its 69th year. It’s coming up July 6-8th.
The 2023 Spooner Rodeo royalty paid a visit to WDIO on Thursday.
Queen Gloria Stumph shared that this more than just a weekend of fun. “It’s really imporatnt to keep this alive. It’s been getting smaller nowadays. But western history is important, and the whole idea of a cowboy.” She has horses at home.
Princess Leila Smith has livestock at her house, and her family has been involved in the rodeo forever as well.
“We have events for the kids, we have the Exceptional Rodeo, and Nickel Scramble, where they get to look for nickels and win prizes,” she said. Plus there’s a parade!
Things kick off with Family Night on Thursday, where you can get two adults and five kids in for $40.
