Glensheen Mansion’s Concerts on the Pier series kicks off 2023 season

Glensheen’s Concerts on the Pier summer series kicked off Wednesday night. Guests could find a spot on the mansion grounds or paddle up the shore of Lake Superior to enjoy music from Duluth based band “The Slamming Doors.” Those who attended could also enjoy food and drinks from local vendors. The concerts are free and hosted every Wednesday night in July and August. Gates for the event open at 5p.m. but guests can get in earlier with the purchase of a mansion tour ticket. Music starts at 6:30 each evening.

Glensheen Mansion staff encourage people to join on land or in the water but note that they do not allow any watercraft to be launched from the property. If you’d rather enjoy the music from the shore, you are advised to bring your own blankets and lawn chairs.
