“Probably the best part is bike rides for the kids,” said Hillary Boyce. “We spend like 4 hours at Spirit Mountain playing on the foam track and listening to music and watching the bike races. There’s racing, dogs, kids, bike rides.”
The event series has been around for a few years, but music is a new feature. Each event has food trucks, tabling, and free bike repairs and tune-ups from the bike cave.
The other “Summer Nights at Spirit” will be on Thursday, July 27th and Thursday, August 31st.
“At the last one, we’ll give away the grand prize, which we are doing a raffle for kids bikes, and proceeds go to the bike so that they can get more helmets for folks that can afford a helmet,” said Ski Hut Events Coordinator Bobbie Larson. “In the meantime, Ski Hut is doing a helmet drive. Anyone that brings a usable helmet doesn’t have to be new. It just can’t have broken straps. We are giving a $20 coupon to those folks that donate helmets.”
