62-year-old Duluth man killed in a road crash

The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office said a 62-year-old Duluth man died in a road crash involving a car and a motorcycle.
Authorities say the man, Michael Allen Scott was the motorcycle driver, but his female passenger survived with critical injuries and receiving treatments at an area hospital.
The incident happened when the motorcycle collided with a vehicle near the 7400 block of Rice Lake Road at approximately 6:00 PM on Thursday July 6th. The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene while the driver of the SUV was not injured.
The Sheriff’s office say alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash. The incident remains under investigation by the St Louis County Sheriff’s Office and the Minnesota State Patrol.
