For many people it was a short week, and the weekend has already come back around. There’s a good mix of big events and free fun over the next couple days.
Spooner Rodeo
The Spooner Rodeo is marking its 69th year in 2023, and the steer wrestling and bull riding is back this weekend. There’s a rodeo and country music Friday and Saturday nights and even a parade at noon Saturday. There are a couple events Sunday morning too. Tickets at $10 for kids and $20 for the big kids.
South St. Louis County Fair
The South St. Louis County Fair is also underway in Proctor. This is the 102nd year of it. Hop on the rides, try your hand at carnival games, and pet the farm animals all weekend. The fairgrounds open at 8 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. It costs $5 to get in.
Movies in the Park
Movies in the Park start back up Friday night in Duluth. Downtown Duluth hosts a family movie night at Leif Erikson every Friday through August. The first movie is “Spiderman: No Way Home.” It starts around sunset, which is 9:05 p.m. this Friday.
