Spectators watch the aerial spectacle of the 2023 Duluth Air Show

Many people attended Duluth’s Air Show on Saturday, July 15th. Spectators watched for hours of the pilots’ exhilarating performances while also spending time to bond with their friends and families.
One of the spectators, Pete Drake from North St. Paul brought three generations if his family to watch the pilots’ performances. “This is my third time to the Duluth Air Show. And I had such a great time,” Drake said. “I knew that I needed to bring the next generation. My. My son, my son in law, my grandsons. And we’re just having a great time up here because this is helps the kids understand a little bit of what America is all about.”
Pete also highlighted the heroic work done by the Minnesota National Guard, and how they protect the state of Minnesota. “The 148th Fighter Wing. We’re so grateful for the way that they’re flying and protecting us and putting in the work day by day,” Drake said. “They’re here flying for us, turning on the afterburners, flashing back and forth. It’s just glorious to watch the players.”
After the Duluth Air Show, people went to Warrior Brewing, where there was an after party from 7pm-10pm. People were able to meet the pilots and performers, before the last Air Show tomorrow Sunday.
