Tech Bytes: Biden Administration to help make home automation safer

The White House has announced a new plan. Placing labels on internet-connected devices that meet security standards set by the federal government. The logo is meant for items generally found in homes. The program starts next year.
Next, Meta is out with the first update for its social network Threads. The update adds a “follows” tab to the activity feed, which makes it easier to see who just followed you. Users will also be able to access a translate button.
And finally, twitter is planning to give you more space to express yourself. Elon Musk says they’re working on a feature that will let users publish very long articles – even books. It appears to be part of twitter’s efforts to attract more creators. No word on when the feature will officially roll out.
