The University of Minnesota Duluth women’s hockey team is welcoming a new face to their bench. On Friday, they announced the hiring of Emma Sobieck as a new assistant coach.
Sobeick spent the past two seasons serving as an assistant for her alma mater, Bemidji State women’s hockey.
She served as the Beaver’s captain for the 2017-18 season, then skated two seasons overseas in Germany before picking up a whistle. She will be joining Bulldogs head coach Maura Crowell, associate head coach Laura Bellamy, and assistant Laura Schuler in leading UMD.
