UMD commit Shaugabay, named USA Today POTY

The 2023 USA Today High School Sports Awards took place on Sunday and two Minnesota players took home both the girl’s and boy’s player of the year honors.
Both of which award winners came from Warroad high school.
The girl’s winner was senior Rylee Bartz, who last year had 10 game winning goals.
For the boy’s it was Tampa Bay draft pick and University of Minnesota Duluth Bulldog commit Jayson Shaugabay who took home the award.
