Former Duluth Huskie Wade Meckler records first MLB hit with Giants
The big leagues are now home to a former Duluth Huskie.
On Monday Wade Meckler made his MLB debut with the San Francisco Giants. That day he started in the outfield, then Tuesday recorded his first career hit.
Playing for the Huskies in 2019 he was drafted by the Giants this year in the 8th round of the MLB Draft.
In his one season in Duluth the outfielder out of Oregon State University hit a .267 in 34 games. He drove in seven runs and scored 18 times.
