Halvor Lines gives away bikes & backpacks to kids
A part of their Sunday nights at the races, Halvor Lines in Proctor gave away bikes and backpacks to kids in a raffle.
They says they tried to set things up so that almost every kid could walk away with something. They had kids enter a raffle on a bike and if they didn’t win that they would be entered into the backpack drawing. All of the backpacks were full of school supplies too.
President of Halvor Lines, Duane Caywood said the giveaway was spearheaded by secretary Billie Suomala. “You know times are tough is stuff is expensive,” says Caywood.
Other partners who worked on the giveaway were Walmart and the Irving Community Center.
