The Cloquet-Esko-Carlton boy’s soccer team is coming off a Class AA third place state finish and a Section 7AA championship season.
One that they gained experience from but don’t want to dwell on, knowing how stacked their section will be this coming year.
“Sometimes the expectations get a little high. So we’re trying to manage those, we know those other teams are really hungry. It’ll kind of be a juggernaut up at the top. At the top, I think the top four is going to be pretty fluid,” said head coach John Sundquist.
“After coming off last season, it was a great year. We all know what it takes and returning almost the whole team we know what it takes to get to the level that we want to be at. Now we’re all just looking forward to getting back, hopefully to that level again.” continued senior Anders Gunelson.
The Lumberjacks begin their season this coming Friday at home against Two Rivers, kick-off at 7:00 p.m.
