Prep Volleyball: Hermantown stays perfect, Esko & Denfeld win at home

In prep volleyball on Tuesday Hermantown protected their perfect record, while Esko and Duluth Denfeld also picked up home wins.
In front of a home crowd Hermantown would hold off Duluth East winning 3-2 to improve to 3-0 on the season. The Hawks won set one 25-20, with East taking sets two and three 25-22 and 25-18. The Hawks then won sets four and five 25-11 and 15-9. Hermantown was led by Hannah Hyjek with 44 set assists, Clair Kaups with 16 kills and Abbey McCubbin with 20 digs. The Hawks next visit Proctor Thursday, while Duluth East (1-3) is set to host St. Francis Thursday.
In Esko, Esko would down Rock Ridge in straight sets winning 3-0. They improve to 4-3 while Rock Ridge falls to 3-4. The Wolverines are next set to visit Chisholm Thursday.
At Duluth Denfeld the Hunters would defeat Hibbing 3-1. Denfeld next visits Grand Rapids Thursday while Hibbing (1-3) visits Grand Rapids next Tuesday.
