It was announced on Tuesday that the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) women’s basketball team earned a national ranking in the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Preseason Poll.

The Bulldogs landed at 18th overall receiving 150 votes to crack the top 25. Lubbock Christian University took the number one spot.

This comes after UMD was picked to win the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). They’re also the only NSIC team to earn a WBCA ranking.

They’re set to open their season on the road against No. 2 Drury University on November 16.
