After a quiet Labor Day weekend, events are back in full swing around the Northland.
Ely Harvest Moon Festival
The Ely Harvest Moon Festival started Friday and goes through Sunday in Whiteside Park. There are more than 100 booths set up to sell food, art, and crafts. It’s open from 9-5 Saturday and 10-3 Sunday.
Run-A-Muck Fall Fest
The Run-A-Muck ATV Club has a Fall Fest on Saturday. There will be an ATV ride, Dart Poker Run, raffles, music, and more. Proceeds will go toward building trails.
Lions STRIDES for Diabetes
The Duluth Lions Club is having its second STRIDES for Diabetes rally Saturday at St. Scholastica. It goes from 8 a.m. to noon with presentations between 9 and 10 and a walk between 10 to 12.
Team Hope Walk
The Huntington’s Disease Society of America’s Minnesota chapter has a Team Hope Walk at 10 a.m. Saturday. It starts at Endion Station on Duluth’s Lakewalk.
Recovery Month Community Picnic
The Chequamegon Bay Voices for Recovery is hosting a picnic Saturday in Ashland. It goes from 11-3 in Prentice Park. All are invited, and it’s a free event.
Walk to End Alzheimer’s
Saturday is the Twin Ports Walk to End Alzheimer’s. The opening ceremony is at 2 p.m. in the DECC’s Pioneer Hall, and the walk begins shortly after. Funds raised go to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Free Minnesota State Parks
Minnesota State Parks are entrance fee-free on Saturday. The DNR is waiving fees to encourage families to get out and enjoy the state’s natural beauty.
Organ and Brass Spectacular Concert
The Friends of the Felgemaker organization is hosting an Organ and Brass Spectacular Concert at 3 p.m. Sunday at Sacred Heart Music Center. Tickets are available at the door for $20.
Community Night Out at the Seitaniemi Housebarn
Sunday is a Community Night Out at the Seitaniemi Housebarn in Embarrass. It goes from 4-6:30 p.m. There will be chili and pie for sale and music from Big T and the Growlers.
