The Minnesota Wilderness opened their season with high hopes on Saturday night, but were met by the bulldozer that was the Anchorage Wolverines.
The Wolverines were effective immediately, as they scored within the first minute of the game.
They would go on to increase their lead to 3-0 before the Wilderness scored a goal of their own, but it would be too late, as the Wolverines tacked on some insurance goals and won, 5-1.
Not only was it the first game of the season, but it was also the first game under new head coach, Colten St. Clair.
The Wilderness play their next game on September 23rd.
