The Bienvenue Coffee Fest is returning for a third year with a mission of connecting the community over coffee.
“If you don’t speak French, bienvenue means ‘welcome,'” Depot Director Mary Tennis said. “We welcome everybody, but especially coffee drinkers.”
It runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 30, at The Depot. Nine local coffee roasters and other experts will be there with samples, seminars, demos, and more.
Local roaster Jake Underwood of Underwood Coffee will be there for the third time.
“It’s a great way to get the community together to try a bunch of different coffees from a lot of different roasters in the region,” he said. “It’s kind of like our All Pints North, but for coffee.”
Tennis wanted to bring community events to the Depot that let people know they are welcome, whether they like art, history, or just the architecture of the space.
“It seemed like such a good fit because coffee can reach across cultures and age demographics,” she said.
