STARBASE: A Mission to Mars
Galaxy of Giving event on Thursday, October 5
STARBASE is a STEM education program that serves Northeastern Minnesota, across 19 school districts and 44 schools.
“Students come to us, and they get a hands on experience in manning a mission to mars,” explains Charity Johnson, the director of Minnesota-Duluth STARBASE.
“We show them that science and STEM is all about your journey through failures and what you learn from them. It really helps them build their confidence to know that failure is okay and that’s how you learn.”
STARBASE is hosting their first big fundraiser, Galaxy of Giving: Launching Bright Futures. It’s Thursday, Oct. 5 at the Cirrus Innovation Center.
