I hope you got to soak up the sun while we had it yesterday because we’re settling into a gray stretch the rest of the week. Our Wednesday is cloudy with areas of fog and a chance for light rain. Be ready to use headlights and adjust speed as visibility may drop for your morning commute. A breezy east wind is once again responsible for a high risk for rip currents and slightly cooler conditions near Lake Superior. Shoreline communities stay in low 60s while inland areas reach mid to upper 60s today. Tonight is partly to mostly cloudy with areas of fog returning. Temps stay mild with lows in low to mid-50s. Thursday will feature more stubborn cloud cover and highs in mid-60s to near 70.
Widespread shower and thunderstorm chances return to region on Friday, mostly on the Minnesota side of the border. Cass, Crow Wing, and Aitkin Co. are included in a chance for an isolated severe thunderstorm with hail as the main hazard. Highs Friday range from mid-60s in northern Minnesota to mid-70s in northwest Wisconsin. Scattered thunderstorms fill out the Northland to the east Friday night. A low chance lingers Saturday, then additional showers and thunderstorms are possible Sunday. Highs should be mostly in the 70s on Saturday and in mid-70s to near 80 on Sunday. A southeast wind keeps cool lake air directed along the North Shore both days.
