On Tuesday the College of St. Scholastica (CSS) men’s soccer team downed St. John’s University 2-1 in Duluth to secure the series sweep.

Chris Galley scored the only goal of the first half to put CSS up 1-0 in the 23rd minute.

In the 73rd minute St. John’s Matt Anderson tied it up, then Saints’ Jordan Finneran tallied the game-winner in the 87th minute lifting CSS to victory.

The win snapped a six game slump for the now 7-9-1 Saints. They close out regular season play Saturday hosting St. Olaf College at 2pm.
