It’s a rivalry match college hockey fans wait for all season. The University of Minnesota Golden Gophers and the University of Minnesota Duluth Bulldog men’s hockey teams will clash in a top ranked home-and-home series this Friday and Saturday night.

"Their guys have grown, they’ve added some pieces," UMD head coach Scott Sandelin said about the Gophers. it’s nice for their team too to get [Jack] LaFontaine back who’s a very good goaltender. It’s always nice to start from the back out, and they’re just a deep team. They’re going to challenge us very similar to what Michigan did."

The Bulldogs lead their recent series 11-3-1. The two squads last faced off in 2019 when UMD earned the sweep.

No. 5 Duluth visits fourth ranked Minnesota Friday at 7pm, then welcomes them to AMSOIL Arena Saturday night. Puck drop is set for 7:07pm.
