November 8 will be the date that vaccinated Canadians will be able to resume visits to the U.S. White House Assistant Press Secretary Kevin Munoz confirmed the date in a Tweet on Friday.

"This announcement and date applies to both international air travel and land travel. This policy is guided by public health, stringent, and consistent," Munoz wrote.

Both the U.S. and Canada closed the land border to non-essential travel in March 2020. Canada resumed allowing vaccinated Americans to visit its country in August, but the U.S. delayed reciprocating.
