Prep girls soccer: Cloquet-Carlton advancing to section finals, Grand Rapids eliminated

In Section 7AA girl’s soccer semifinals Thursday, Cloquet-Carlton notched a win to advance while Grand Rapids was eliminated.
Top-seeded Cloquet-Carlton shut out fifth seeded Duluth Denfeld 2-0 to secure a spot in the championship game.
Second seeded Grand Rapids suffered a 1-0 upset to third seeded North Branch.
The Lumberjacks are set to face North Branch for the 7AA title Tuesday at 6pm. As of Thursday the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) had Denfeld tabbed as the host site for the championship game.
