Bulldog volleyball bounces back notching first home win of 2021

Despite dropping their first two home games of the 2021 season, the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) volleyball team bounced back Tuesday night to notch their first win at Romano Gym.

The Bulldogs shut out the University of Minnesota-Crookston 3-0 to find their way into the win column of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) play.

With one win NSIC win already under their belts, the Bulldogs will now battle to make it many more.

"We just have to keep working on what we need to work on," said fifth year outside hitter Kate Berg after practice on Wednesday. "Get better for the player next to us and take each match as it comes. Going on the road this weekend is going to be a challenge for us, but I think it’s what we need to do to get better as a team and become more comfortable playing together."

Now 8-3 overall number 19 UMD will return to the road Friday to take on the University of Sioux Falls. Then Saturday they continue NSIC play traveling to fifth ranked Southwest Minnesota State University.
